Food Stamp Match
A local farmer sells fresh, organic beef to a market patron who is using her matched EBT dollars.
Due to a grant from United Way of Wine Country, in the spring of 2012 the Food Stamp Match Program will be back in action at not just 1 but 4 Farmer's Markets!
Stay tuned for details about the program start date!
How it works:
Use your EBT (formerly known as Food Stamp) Card at participating farmers markets and we will match up to $15 of your EBT per market day. If you swipe your card for $15 you will get $30 worth of market tokens with which to buy food and plant starts!
Spring and summer 2012 participating farmer's markets include Ukiah, Willits, Laytonville, and Lake County.

Building Community
The Food Stamp Match Program builds nutrition and health with local families AND it supports our local farmers by bringing our tax dollars back to our community with purchases of locally produced foods.
Support The Program
The program began in May 2011 with funding from the Community Foundation of Mendocino County and continued until November 2011 with funds from the Rodrigue Family Foundation. We hope to begin the program again in 2012 with a new grant.
