Community Garden
The Orchard Manor Community Garden is located at the Orchard Manor and Village Apartments, a low-income family residency managed by the Rural Communities Housing and Development Corporation (RCHDC). It was developed in the Spring of 2009 and consists of 22 garden plots, half raised beds, half in-ground plots. In the summertime all garden bed space is fully utilized and the perimeter becomes a trellis for tall beans and cucumbers, and sunflowers and corn make it look like there is actually just a fence of plants!
The garden is located on Ford Street between Orchard Avenue and Sidnie Street in Ukiah. Drive by and take a look anytime, but if you’d like to get a tour inside please contact the manager to schedule a time to come visit.
