Vinewood Park

Community Garden

The Vinewood Park Community Garden was developed in Summer 2014. Gardeners come from the Walnut Village apartments, serving seniors and persons living with disabilities, and the surrounding neighborhood. The Gardens Project partnered with the City of Ukiah on this project, making it the first community garden in a public park in Ukiah! There are 12 raised bed gardens and 16 in-ground plots for families to grow food here.

This garden is open to anyone living in Ukiah, with priority given to those living in the surrounding neighborhood. If you’d like a plot at this garden, please contact the garden manager, Ruth, at 485-2847.

The garden is located at Vinewood Park, which is north of Low Gap Road between Elm and Pine streets. Take a walk through the park and look from the outside anytime, but if you’d like to get a tour inside, please contact the manager to schedule a visit.
